Blind Man Driving!

This is a picture of the first time we became a two-car family (about 1954 – this pic is a copy of somebody else’s pic). When my father bought it (second hand), it had been owned by a guy who sold window blinds. Appropriately, he wrote “BLIND MAN DRIVING* on the sides and back of the Crosley. (rofl)

The Crosley had mechanical brakes (no hydraulics) and though they were not very reliable, my Dad had no accidents with it. He later sold it for a used Borgward.

Our other car at that time was a blue 1954(?) Willys Aero 2-door we bought new. In those days, we didn’t have front license plates! Also, our next door neighbour had a new Ford that had Turn Signals!

Shades of days gone past . . . (oops, no pun intended).
